It is also designed in such a way that ensures no damage to the diamond during the testing process. To ensure accurate results, power on the device and turn the wheel right until all 4 green segments on the light meter are illuminated.
Diamond tests result in an audible beeping sound and one to four red segments on the light meter will illuminate. The number of red segments illuminated increases proportionally to the authenticity and size of the diamond.
When testing imitation stone, such as cubic zirconium ( CZ ) or crystal, none of the red segments illuminate and there is no sound/beep.
